Feb 14-16, 2007: GAVAB organizes a special session in the MAEB2007 in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.

Welcome to the GAVAB research group's website of the Departament of Computing of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos:

GAVAB group was originally founded with the aim of promoting the research on Computer Vision and Biometrics techniques. However, as time passed by, the scientific interest of the members grew, including different research fields, thus building a multidisciplinary group.



Departament of Computing

The Departament of Computing is included in the Escuela de Ciencias Experimentales y Tecnología (ESCET) located in the Móstoles Campus of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC). Departament of Computing was created in November 3rd 2006 after the separation of the GAVAB group and other faculties from the Department of Computer Science, by means of teaching and research organization. Now, the Department of Computing is constituted by Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science attached members.

Escuela Superior de Ciencias Experimentales y Tecnología (ESCET)

The ESCET is the most important Polytechnic University School in Southern Madrid. Its campus is located in the Northwest of the city of Móstoles, 17 km. from downtown Madrid, over 44 hectares of terrain, next to the A-5 highway, near RENFE train stations (Estación de Móstoles - El Soto) and buses.
